Four Seasons Approach

The Simple Approach

At Medich Pest Control, we realize that pest control is not always an exact science. Insects and other pests are a part of nature, and nature can't always be 100% controlled.

And despite our best efforts, they may occasionally find their way into your home. If this happens between your monthly, or quarterly services, we will come back and take care of it at no additional charge.

The Four Seasons Advantage:

Spring

Spring is the time when insects strive to increase their populations so Medich Pest Control is focused on material application that reduces reproduction. The treatment focuses on the interior and exterior of your home where insects live and breed, plus entry points into the living space. We develop a personalized treatment plan to eliminate the unwanted pests inside the home, and then treat the exterior to prevent any future infestations.

Medich Pest Control will:

  • Remove spider webs
  • Apply dust treatment to exterior entry points including utility boxes and around doors and windows.
  • Treat exterior hot spots, potential harborage sites and food sources
  • Treat along foundation and in landscape features
  • Place granular bait for ant larvae and workers, crickets and roaches
  • Apply granular ant bait to suppress ant reproduction

Summer

Insect populations are the largest and most active in the summer time. Why do we see more of them in the summer? Because, simply, there are more of them out moving around, insects can move faster during the summer, they are less afraid of predators which are more likely to be seen. This is the time that it's very important to have, and maintain an exterior barrier to keep these unwanted guests from entering your home.

Medich Pest Control will:

  • Remove spider webs and apply repellent
  • Treat exterior entry points and hot spots
  • Treat along paved surfaces and landscape features including walkways
  • Spread granules in thick grass, mulch, rock beds, decorative bark and similar areas
  • Apply granular baits to minimize insect reproduction

Fall
Young insects are maturing and all pests are building up their reserves for the winter and are actively seeking shelter. Because they are slowing down, insects are more vulnerable to predators, and your home is a desirable insect retreat. To repel them, Medich Pest control establishes a barrier around the home by applying materials in pathways that insects will use to access the structure, and by dusting insect entry points such as those found around window and door frames, and utility entry points. It's also the time of year for rodents to find shelter in doors for the winter, and since mice can gain entry through a hole the size of a dime, it's very easy for them to gain access into your home.

Medich Pest Control will:

  • Remove spider webs
  • Apply dust treatment to exterior entry points including utility boxes and attic access points
  • Treat exterior hot spots, potential harborage sites and food sources
  • Apply dust in cracks and crevices where insects may gain entry in winter
  • Spread granules in thick grass, mulch, rock beds, decorative bark and similar areas
  • Inspect the exterior of the home for rodent entry points. And place rodent bait in the interior to eliminate any infestations.

Winter
During the winter, insects are still active, they hide and reserve energy so that they can increase their chances of surviving until Spring. Because your home is an ideal insect retreat, it's important to maintain the exterior barrier to prevent any unwanted pests from entering, and to make sure to keep up with any possible rodent activity. Also, we never have consistent winter weather, we always seem to have a few warm days at some point every winter, those warm days tend to greatly increase the insect activity when they mistake a couple of warm days for the start of spring. So it's very important to maintain your homes exterior barrier all year long.

Medich Pest Control will:

  • Wipe webs on the exterior, interior if needed.
  • Apply material inside cracks and crevices, including baseboards and wall plates if needed.
  • Reapply your homes exterior barrier.
  • Place ant and roach bait stations under kitchen and bathroom sinks where needed.
  • Place insect monitoring stations in critical areas where needed.
  • Apply material outside around doors, windows and eaves
  • Monitor bait stations, and replace bait as needed.
